Hello, and welcome!

I'm so pleased you've found your way here.

This little corner of the internet has been sitting in my imagination for quite a while. I knew I wanted somewhere that wasn't just about selling my cat-themed seamless patterns, but somewhere I could share the whole creative journey—the experiments, the projects, the successes, the mistakes, and everything in between.

If you're expecting a professional artist with all the answers, I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place!

I'm simply someone who loves making things.

Some days you'll find me drawing cats in Procreate on my iPad. Other days I'll be filling pages of a sketchbook with pencil drawings, knitting a new animal, trying out a different art supply, or getting completely distracted by another creative idea that simply had to be explored.

I'm always learning.

Sometimes I look back at something I've made and feel really proud. Other times I can see all the things I'd like to improve. But I've realised that's part of being creative. Every sketch, every pattern and every project teaches me something new, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This isn't a race—it's a lifelong journey.

One of the things I love most about creating is the sense of calm it brings. Whether I'm choosing colours for a new pattern, carefully knitting the ears onto a little toy, or sketching a sleepy cat, there's something wonderfully mindful about focusing on one small creative task at a time. It's a chance to switch off from the noise of everyday life and simply enjoy making something with my own hands.

That's what I hope this Creative Notebook becomes.

A place where I can share what I'm working on each month, the new techniques I'm learning, the brushes and supplies I'm enjoying, the exhibitions I visit, the projects I'm excited about, and of course, plenty of cats along the way.

Most of all, I hope it feels friendly and encouraging.

You don't have to be an expert to enjoy being creative. You don't have to produce perfect work to be proud of making something. Creativity isn't about perfection—it's about curiosity, imagination and the simple joy of creating.

If you're learning alongside me, welcome.

If you're already an experienced artist, I hope you'll enjoy watching the journey unfold.

And if you've simply stopped by because you love cats and colourful things, I think you'll fit in just fine.

Thank you for being here at the very beginning. I can't wait to see where this creative adventure leads.

Now... shall we make something?
